Marty Holoubek announces new album with TrioⅡ, his team-up with his friends Inoue Mei and Ishiwaka Shun

Marty Holoubek will release a new album, “Trio II: 2,” on Wednesday, July 31st with his friends Inoue Mei and Ishiwaka Shun, and the members of Trio II.

Marty Holoubek is a notable bassist from Australia who is currently based in Tokyo and serves as co-leader of SMTK and Hishakaku Quartet. This is his second album, about four years after his first album “Trio II” released in 2020, and will include a total of seven songs, including “Shizuru,” his first new song in two years, and “Uncle Izu (feat. May Inoue & Shun Ishiwaka),” which will be released in advance on Wednesday, June 26th.

In addition, a release concert will be held on the following day, August 1st (Thursday), at 7th Floor in Shibuya, Tokyo. Songs from the album were performed at the live at COTTON CLUB the other day, but this time they plan to play many more new songs. Don’t miss this precious release concert by three people at the forefront of the music scene.
