DÉ DÉ MOUSE × Sasuke Haraguchi’s FM TOWNS releases their first single “Pastel⭐️Night”

DÉ DÉ MOUSE and Sasuke Haraguchi have formed a new unit, FM TOWNS. They released their first single, “Pastel⭐️Night,” today, June 19th (Wednesday).

FM TOWNS is a post-future funk/post-vaporwave unit with a bubble culture theme. Their first release is a duet with 15-year-old city pop singer Neon and Sasuke Haraguchi.

A city pop disco of the bubble era, like the opening of a romantic comedy anime, with a funky brass section, DX7 chopper bass, machine disco beat, meaningless but catchy lyrics full of the feeling of the internet in the 2000s and a refreshing melody. The original version “~Pastel Night~” is full of lost wave feeling with sound quality like a cassette tape air-checked from FM radio, and is finished in a techno sound of the eve of the bubble era with a signature sampling sound like Art of Noise.

The pop artwork depicting DÉ DÉ MOUSE and Haraguchi Sasuke was created by illustrator Natsumi Sato, who works on a variety of advertisements and apparel.
