TAIKING’s new collaboration song series begins, new song released with Shota Aratani

TAIKING has started a new collaboration song series. The first of these is the new single “Step By Step (feat. Shota Aratani)” which was released today, June 19th (Wednesday).

TAIKING is the guitarist of Suchmos, who began his solo project in earnest in 2021. Following the release of “Rules feat. Tao Tsuchiya” in 2022, he will be releasing a series of collaborative songs with artists with diverse singing voices.

This song features former yonawo member Shota Araya as a featured guest. The light guitar sound created by TAIKING and the mellow vocal work of Shota Araya combine to create a number that is perfect for the coming season. Also, TAIKING’sYouTube ChannelA visualizer is also scheduled to be released at the event.

I don’t really remember when this song was created…
That means we were able to keep the production natural all the way to the end.
And above all, I’m glad I offered the role to Aratani-kun.
I somehow feel like I put in a lot of effort with him, and I really like the lightness and simplicity of this song.
It felt like we were able to have a conversation on the same level, in a relaxed atmosphere.
