The second release from Kyoto artist EOU’s label “halo” is the split single “halo 2” by EOU & Vís, Osaka’s ast midori, and Tokyo’s DjuBumba, which was released today, Thursday, June 20th.

This is a collection of tool-like tracks that incorporates the hyper pop sensibility that was a new trend in 1920s electronic music, via “minimal”, and also the stoicism and minimalism of techno.

Also, tomorrow, June 21st (Friday), the second resident party “loop na” hosted by EOU & melting bot will be held at WWWβ in Shibuya, Tokyo. This time, the party will feature Aquarium aka Sotokanda deepspace, a Balearic & obscure house alternative artist who continues to release music from overseas labels, OG suppa micro panchop, who debuted in the late 90s from electronic legend Nobukazu Takemura’s Childisc and spins the kitschy sense of electronica pop & obscure into the modern era from listening to dancing, eijin, who also works on artwork from Kyoto, and Ryogo, who enhances the groove of the techno axis, on the dance floor, and nano odorine, moge!, lostbaggage, and shiranaihana, local new generation organic artists, on the lounge.

Advance ticket purchasers will be given a download code for the “Halo 2” audio at the reception on the day of the event.
