[Nenashi comment]

It’s been about 5 years since the debut single “Lost In Translation”.
We will be releasing our 1st album “Found In Tokyo”.
I started by hiding my true identity because I wanted people to listen to my music as it is.
The singles we have sent out and released to the world have been listened to by people in many countries.
After the coronavirus, I revealed my identity.
Looking back, I think this album is the culmination of all the efforts we’ve made to be discovered in “Tokyo,” built in the ever-changing “Tokyo,” and continued to communicate.
As the name “Neumagusa” suggests, I wanted to touch on the cultures, languages, and values of various countries and incorporate them into my music through trial and error, and for this album I was able to collaborate with artists from Japan, America, France, Israel, and Thailand. I’m glad about that. My dreams are expanding as I think that we will continue to utilize technology to create even more cross-border collaborations.

This album is
“Lost In Translation” = Passing each other
“Satellite Lovers” = long-distance love
“Be (Vis ta Vie)” = OK as is
“Gonna Be Good” = Hope for the future
“Scars” = get hurt and become stronger
“Take Me Back” = Childhood dream
“Unlikely Soul” = inner beauty
“Say My Name” = If you have any trouble, please call me.
“Pickin'” = You’ll find the right love
“Work Song” = Work hard
“Sunny” = I can’t wait for the weekend

Along with his partner Kibunya, he sings in a variety of situations, focusing on Soul, R&B, Hip Hop, Jazz, Electro, etc., and is also particular about the tones of the trumpet and synths, as well as the chorus work.
With the help of engineer yasu2000, I believe we were able to create a unique sound that can be heard around the world.
Also, the designer and cameraman Sachiko Yamada, who expressed the image of each song from the first single on the jacket and incorporated various ideas such as the music video, is also the best.
An origami staff member once told me, “The further you travel, the better the songs you write.”
After this album, I want to go further and deliver my songs.

[Daichi Yamamoto comment]

Say my name reminded me of Destiny’s Child, so I started working on the lyrics from there.
I thought I wrote it for someone else, but I feel like the lyrics were written for me.
The chorus work in the chorus was really cool and I learned a lot from it.
Thank you for inviting me and congratulations on the release.
