SARM released their new EP “IRiS” (pronounced: Iris) today, Wednesday, July 3rd.
In addition to “BONBON GiRL,” a representative song with over 600 million total plays on streaming and SNS, this album contains six songs in total, including “D♡VE QUEEN,” “AI ga shitaino,” “Tefu Tefu,” released in April in collaboration with Tomita Keiichi (Tomita Lab), “IRiS,” which was just released in June, and the latest song, “I Love Midnight French Toast Made With You More Than Fine French.” On SARM’s official website, the producers of each song talk about the production process with SARM, the songs, and messages to SARM, so be sure to check it out.
■Producer comments for each song on the EP “IRiS” revealed!!
As shown in the teaser video released in advance, “I like late-night French toast made with you more than high-end French food” is a collaboration with Chaki Zulu, a producer who has released many hit songs. The two, who have been friends for a long time, worked together in the studio, creating a song with a pop and addictive sound and lyrics that are memorable, without compromise.
The song has also been chosen as the ending theme for TV Tokyo’s Drama Premiere 23, “Until I Destroy My Husband’s Family,” starring Marika Matsumoto, which begins on Monday, July 8th.
[SARM Comments]
The word “IRiS” is said to also mean “Goddess of the Rainbow,” and the songs on the EP were created with the theme of love of various colors.
Furthermore, the latest song, “I prefer late-night French toast I make with you to fancy French food,” is a story that imagines that ordinary everyday life becomes special on the last day on Earth.
Now, everyone, how should we spend the rest of our time?
