Shigge releases new song "Ride" today with Vela, an up-and-coming singer-songwriter from Osaka

Shigge released his new single “Ride feat. Vela” today, Wednesday, June 26th.

Shigge, who was based in Fukuoka and presided over the internet label “YestetdayOnceMore”, will move his base to Tokyo in 2023 and is currently working on an album mainly featuring songs featuring vocalists. This is the sixth pre-release single from the album, and the vocals will be provided by SSW Shigge, who was born in Osaka in 2000 and is also active as a member of the project BL4CK PEARL with SOZEN OTSUBO.VelaFeaturing. It’s a light dance pop tune that incorporates Jersey club rhythms, and the lyrics convey a positive message about riding the rough waves of the world and carving out a path to the future.

I first started writing this song by imagining what was going on in my mind while I was driving.
The more I listen to the beats that Shigge made, the more I want to go to the beach… (laughs)
Then I realized that our lives are like riding waves.
Women, in particular, experience four physical changes over the course of a month.
While being tossed about by the rough waves of society, we also have to ride the waves of our physical health.
The world today makes me feel like I don’t want to grow up.
I wrote this with the image of asking “why?” and “how?” in mind, riding through rough seas and finding meaning in the mysteries of the world, and carving out a path to the future.
We want this song to inspire everyone and protect our sound into the future.
