butaji × Flower.far × MET release collaboration song “True Colors” celebrating “the joy of loving yourself”

The collaborative single “True Colors” by butaji, Flower.far, and MET was released today, Wednesday, June 26th.

Butaji, who made waves by co-writing the theme songs for the TV dramas “Omameda Towako and her Three Ex-husbands” and “Elpis” with STUTS, is a member of Thailand’s up-and-coming label YUPP! and has appeared on the globally popular video platform COLORS and been selected for Spotify RADAR Global. In Japan, Flower.far released a collaborative track with 3House last year. MET has produced many songs for Sound’s Deli and DJ TATSUKI’s “TOKYO KIDS feat. IO & MonyHorse”.

This collaborative work by the three artists is a track that MET was in the middle of producing, and butaji and singer-songwriter Flower.far have each freely interpreted the melody and lyrics with the theme of “freedom beyond sexuality and nationality”. butaji is also an artist who has committed to the LGBTQ+ scene since coming out as bisexual. Flower.far also expresses his own views and thoughts on love through his songs after his experience with an LGBTQ+ partner that he used to date. This work, delivered in June during “Pride Month”, is likely to become a new anthem that celebrates “the joy of loving yourself”.

Mixed by DOI, mastered by Colin Leonard. Cover artwork by photographer Taisuke Nakano, who is also a friend of butaji and has been public about his sexuality.
