I Don’t Like Mondays. released their new single “New York, New York” today, April 24th (Wednesday).

I Don’t Like Mondays. celebrates their 10th anniversary since their major debut this year. 2024 got off to a flying start with all performances sold out on the same day for their first tour in China, and in February they provided Snow Man’s 10th single “LOVE TRIGGER”. It is still fresh in my memory that the game achieved the feat of selling a million copies in two days after its release.

The first single to commemorate I Don’t Like Mondays.’s 10th anniversary is based on the UK sound, which is one of the members’ roots, and depicts the feelings of a melancholic man who remembers New York. From the demo production stage, the members and staff unanimously selected this song, saying, “If we were to release it first, this would be the song.”

In addition, YU (Vo.) spent his high school days in New York, and still visits New York regularly.The city is a place he has fond memories of, and his lyrics are full of yearning, and his artwork is full of love. It also uses photos that YU actually took in New York.

In addition, to commemorate the 10th anniversary of their debut, the “Island Tour” will be held from April 30th (Tuesday) in 13 cities nationwide other than Honshu. Prior to the opening, it was also announced that a nationwide tour “FOCUS” ASIA TOUR would begin in the fall. This is the band’s first Asian tour, which includes 10 performances in 8 cities including 5 major cities, as well as overseas performances.
