jo0ji signs with Sony Music, releases music video for his song “Fukutsuni Hana”

Tottori-born artist jo0ji (read: George) has announced that he has signed a contract with Sony Music Labels (Ki/oon Music). In addition, the music video for his first single “Fukutsuni Hana” has been released.

“Fukutsuni Hana” is a work that jo0ji created to encourage his local friends, and is the first song he has written. It was released as a single in 2022 and started his artist activities at the same time, and it ranked in the Spotify Trending Chart Viral Top 50, attracting attention. It was also included in a newly recorded version on the 1st EP “475” (read: Yonago), released last September. WONK’s Fumitake Ezaki and Kan Inoue participated as co-arrangers in the EP.

The music video for “Fukutsuni Hana” was directed by the creative unit Margt, who also worked on jo0ji’s “≒” (read: Nearly Equal) and “Lantern” videos. The entire video was shot in Tottori Prefecture, and the colors and tones that make you feel like you’re in another world are beautifully intertwined with the lyrics and worldview of the song, resulting in a unique visual expression.

A new artist visual was also released. This was also taken in his hometown of Tottori. The photographer was Ayumu Kosugi, who also takes photos of jo0ji’s live performances, and he captured a natural jo0ji.
