One Boiling Point releases new song “Natsukashii” from safmusic’s “Niwa”

One Boiling Point, a musician who pursues a sound that has yet to be named, released his new single “Nukashikai” today, Monday, July 1st, through Niwa, a label presided over by singer-songwriter safmusic.

“Natsukashii” is a song born from a thought experiment that tries to grasp nostalgia, a sentiment that emerges as an individual’s subjective feeling, as an “objective phenomenon.” Any phenomenon can be interpreted as tragic, comical, or emotionless, due to the intervention of subjectivity.

In this work, I focused on such fluctuations and attempted to capture “nostalgia” itself as a phenomenon from both the lyric and sound design perspectives. With the hope that something can be conveyed even if it cannot be understood, this is an ambitious work that incorporates the fluctuations of live performance into the digital production process and injects experimentalism into the pop format.

All track making, vocals, mixing and mastering was done by One Boiling Point himself.
