Bed × Clubasia crossover party "bedroom" to be held in July

The party “bedroom” by Tokyo-based rock band bed and Shibuya clubasia in Tokyo will be held all night on Friday, July 12th at midnight.

bed will be fully launched in early 2022. With each live performance, they are gaining more attention, and in September 2022 and April 2023, they held the party “SLEEPWELL” co-hosted with DJ crew SUPERFUZZ. It filled Shibuya WWW X, which has a capacity of over 500 people. This is the fifth time they have held “bedroom”, with the first one attracting over 300 people, the second one attracting 400 people, and the fourth one attracting about 500 people, and the warehouse free rave “Uzu -UZU-” attracting over 500 people each. They attracted a lot of attention with their crossover style, in which a rock band captures the exciting club culture.

Due to the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, the club scene is currently at a turning point. The whirlwind of physical, trippy dance music is likely due in part to the development of open-air raves during a long period of unstable club business. Many people have reexamined themselves, which has led to a higher purity of what they want to do, and the standard of DIY parties has improved dramatically. Also, from around the late 2010s, existing genres and cultures have crossed over, breaking out of the framework and creating new concepts and sensations that can be called post-genre, and it is important to note that this movement has entered its next phase in recent years.
We, bed, started performing live at the same time as the times changed. As a rock band, we have found common ground in various genres and contexts such as techno, house, trance, psychedelic, and ambient, and we are proud to have created a unique presence by crossing clubs and live houses. This is the party for the new generation, promoted by clubasia, which has played a part in updating the club scene with us. The “new generation” here does not refer to age. We want everyone who refuses stagnation and boredom to experience the overwhelming present.
