DJ/beatmaker KAPSOUL returns to Japan for triumphant event featuring AA RASHID, Senninsho, BD and more

LA-based Japanese DJ/beatmaker KAPSOUL will be celebrating his triumphant return to Japan with an event on Friday, August 9th at B By The Brooklyn Brewery in Kabutocho, Nihonbashi, Tokyo.

KAPSOUL has a career spanning more than 20 years. In April of this year, they released their long-awaited first album, “ASCENT,” which caused quite a stir. This performance, which will be held as a release party for the album, will be a special night with AA RASHID and BHI (Black Hair Imperial), who also participated in the album, from the United States.

Also appearing from Japan will be BD and Senninsho, who also participated in the album, as well as BUDAMUNK and SHIN MIYATA (Barrio Gold Records), who had close ties with KAPSOUL when they lived in LA. DJ events featuring KAPSOUL are also scheduled to be held in the Tokyo area and Chiba.

In addition, AA RASHID, who is also active in the art world, will have a solo exhibition at Lafayette Tokyo in Harajuku, Tokyo from August 11th (Sun) to 18th (Sun). AA RASHID himself is scheduled to be present on August 12th (Mon, holiday).
