The second pre-release single, “Drifted,” from Half Mile Beach Club’s new album, “Days of the Ocean Waves,” which will be released on Friday, August 2nd, was released today, Friday, July 5th.
With the release of the single “Vibrant Sun” (2022), produced by Jun Saito “JxJx”, Half Mile Beach Club has evolved their style into an instrumental style with a focus on dance music, exploring a Balearic sound. “Drifted” is a passionate number that sublimates Afro-Cuban jazz and alternative rock with a night motif into live dance music with a unique interpretation. The melancholic guitar played over the tribal beat section makes this a song that will fit perfectly on a summer night.
Their first album in about five years, “Days of the Ocean Waves,” was produced by Jun Saito “JxJx” (YOUR SONG IS GOOD) and featured guest percussionist Izumi Matsui (YOUR SONG IS GOOD), and took several years to produce. They declared that they would “make their first album again as an instrumental band,” and the performance video released the other day has attracted attention.
