KEYTOTHECITY releases new song “Water Proof” today with guest performance by Kouichi Arakawa

KEYTOTHECITY, a hip-hop crew active mainly in Chiba and Tokyo, released their new single “Water Proof feat. Kouichi Arakawa” today, April 24th (Wednesday).

This song is a guest performance by SSW Kouichi Arakawa, who is a finalist in the Japanese version of the music audition program “THE VOICE” and is also attracting attention for his collaboration with Shota Shimizu. Produced by Yusef Imamura from the same crew, it is a fresh piece that features SANO and Yusef Imamura’s light flow and Kouichi Arakawa’s singing voice over comfortable Afrobeats.

The music video is also scheduled to be released next week, April 29th (Monday). The video features DJ duo Dekobo, who is connected to KEYTOTHECITY. will also appear in the show, and the production is such that each person comes from different areas into one space, and is said to be a work that expresses the various current movements of KEYTOTHECITY. The director was Rui Kawai, who also directed the music video for KEYTOTHECITY’s previous work “Hanabi”.
