Kohei Shimizu releases music video for "Dawn" featuring Mashinomi from his latest album

The music video for “Dawn (feat. Mashinomi)” from Kohei Shimizu’s latest album, Hypervoid, released in June, has been released.

Kohei Shimizu, a singer-songwriter, producer and guitarist, announced last year that he had changed his name from sooogood! Since then, he has continued to work on a wide range of projects, including making tracks for Mega Shinnosuke, arranging, and supporting guitar at live shows, providing songs for voice actor Miyu Irino, arranging songs for Vocaloid producer DECO*27, and co-writing theme songs for TV dramas with Masaki Suda.

“Hypervoid”, his first album under his current name, contains eight tracks including a song featuring singer-songwriter Mashinomi on vocals, as well as songs sung by Kohei Shimizu himself and instrumental numbers.

“Dawn (feat. Mashinomi)” is a hyper-pop song with a sad guitar sound intro and a memorable, rich sound image. The music video was produced by photographer/video director Makoto Okazaki, who has worked on many of Kohei Shimizu’s artist visuals and music videos. It is a video work that makes you feel a strong will to move forward to tomorrow while floating in the real world.

They will also resume live performances under their current name for the first time since December 2022. They have been confirmed to appear at the event “mother” to be held at BATICA in Ebisu, Tokyo on Sunday, August 25th. Check this out as well.
