a-ko releases music video for "good morning" from her first album "GENE," filmed entirely in LA

The music video for the lead track “good morning” from A-ko’s first album “GENE,” released today, Wednesday July 10th, has been released.

“Good Morning” was created in response to the excitement of finding out that the band would be performing at SXSW, one of the world’s largest festivals, held in Texas, USA. The music video was directed by Shun Takeda, who has teamed up with A for the fourth time after “trank”, “Wakusei”, and “LAZY”. The entire video was shot in LA, with A-ko appearing in various locations such as Santa Monica Beach, the subway, and a rooftop overlooking downtown. The video captures the atmosphere of LA to the fullest, matching the worldview of the song.

A-ko will also be holding her first free live show, “Good News Sessions,” on Tuesday, July 23rd at Club eX in Shinagawa, Tokyo. For details,Tower Records special pageCheck it out more.

“My identity is inherited from the great works of the past, from history.
What if my own work was included as part of that larger flow?”
This is the meaning behind the name.
