WWW project "AREA81 ALPHA" held, Tade Dust, ACE COOL, EASTA, Hezron and others gather

The hip-hop event “AREA81 ALPHA” will be held at WWW & WWW β in Shibuya, Tokyo on Wednesday, August 28th.

Last year, the event “AREA81” attracted Tade Dust, Bonbero, Jinmenusagi, Lunv Loyal, lj, Spada and others, and was almost full despite being held on a weekday. This time, the event is titled “WWW presents AREA81 ALPHA” and will bring together artists who pursue alternative expression in the diversifying hip-hop scene.

On the WWW floor, Tade Dust, who has been a remarkable performer from the collective Yonekozoku, will appear, as well as tip jam. In addition, ACE COOL, whose first album in four years, “Meian,” has been highly praised, EASTA, who has made a leap since coming second in “Rapstar Birth 2021,” and Hezron, who left a mark in the recent “Rapstar 2024,” will also appear. Not only will there be appearances by Bank.Somsaart, who will be performing a long-awaited daytime live show after suddenly returning to the scene with his first new song in five years, but also by other noteworthy artists.

The WWWβ floor will be supported by THE HARVEST, a community that delves into Japanese hip-hop, and will feature live performances by DJ acts at the forefront of the scene, as well as up-and-coming artists such as $eaBose, Kee Rooz, and KENNY THE TOY.

The hip-hop scene is rapidly growing and fragmenting and changing. AREA81 has been a place where hip-hop alternatives in particular are reconsidered and reconstructed, and this year’s event promises to be a rare night where you can fully experience the aesthetics of artists who carry a worldview overflowing with reality.
