Chicago-based artist Sen Morimoto has surprisingly released his new EP “BONK!” today, Thursday, April 25th.

This work is a collection of outtakes that were not included in the latest album “Diagnosis”, which was released in November last year as the first collaboration between the label “Sooper Records”, which he started himself, and the German label “City Slang”. It includes a total of five songs, including a live version of the album’s title track, “Diagnosis.”
Additionally, Sen Morimoto will be holding an East Coast tour this summer in support of his album “Diagnosis.”
[Sen Morimoto comment]
I ended up creating a clean version of the title track from Diagnosis for radio, and swapped out the only profanity sensored on the entire album with the sound of a frying pan (like you might hear in a Tom and Jerry episode). Ta. “BONK!” (Police, Banks, Legislature) is a collection of songs from the “Diagnosis” sessions that did not make it onto the final tracklist. In order to complete these, I think it was necessary to understand the original album in a different context through touring. The final track on the EP is a live take from a radio session at WXPN in Philadelphia. The live take features touring band members Ryan Person, Kaina Castillo, Kurt Shelby, and Elijah Bradford.
