To celebrate the 25th anniversary of the founding of NANO universe, a special event will be held in collaboration with Billboard Live. The first event will be held on Tuesday, September 10th at Billboard Live YOKOHAMA in Kanagawa.
The first commemorative event will be a two-man performance by SAR and Shin Tokyo, two groups that share a common background in jazz and R&B but each crossover a wide variety of musical styles.
SAR is a six-member band consisting of santa (Vo.), Attie (Gt.), Imu Sam (Gt. / MC.), Taro (Key.), may_chang (Dr.), and Eno (Ba.), and the members themselves handle not only music but also video and artwork. In March of this year, they released their first album “Verse of the Kool”, which strongly reflects their wide range of musical roots, and attracted attention.
Meanwhile, Shin Tokyo, which has been releasing singles consistently since its formation in 2021, released its long-awaited first album, “NEO TOKYO METRO,” in February of this year. The band has gained support for the unique sense of the four members, Harune Sugita (Vo.), Toshiyuki Tanaka (Key.), Rintaro Okura (Ba.), and Yuma Yasuda (Dr.), and is scheduled to hold a solo performance at Zepp Shinjuku (TOKYO) in November of this year.
These two groups, who are starting to emerge as the next generation of black music and J-POP, will perform together in a high-quality club space. It will be a night where you can fully enjoy the up-and-coming sound and groove.
