Collaboration EP released by Minami Nakamura x Bristol producer Hodge

The collaborative EP “Everyday in the Club / Bounce on the Water” by rapper Minami Nakamura and producer/DJ Hodge was released today, April 26th (Friday).

Minami Nakamura has announced many collaborations with overseas producers such as Roska and Anna Lunoe. This time, the co-writer was Hodge, who is known as a key figure in the bass music scene in Bristol, England. He has released numerous releases from prestigious labels such as Tempa and Livity Sound, and has traveled all over the world as a DJ. Also, in February of this year, he came to Japan for the event “Hodge at R Lounge” sponsored by .

Hodge and Minami Nakamura met through during the production of Roska’s “Pree Me feat. Minami Nakamura (Hodge Remix)”. As they deepened their relationship, this collaboration naturally came about.

“Everyday in the Club” has an impressive low-centered, aggressive beat reminiscent of techno and breakbeats, and a minimally developing melody. A public pool and dance floor inspired by “water” and “the ocean.” Contains three songs: “Bounce on the Water”, which has a psychedelic mix of “Bounce on the Water” and “Bounce on the Water (Flipped)”, which incorporates juke/footwork.
