KDDI Corporation and Capcom Co., Ltd. have teamed up to start a collaboration project called “STREET FIGHTER × au “That enthusiasm is in your hands”” on Wednesday, July 17th. It has been revealed that the original theme song for this project will be written by tofubeats × Umeda Cipher.
For this project, KDDI and Capcom are collaborating under the concept of “That enthusiasm is in the hands of everyone.”“Capcom Town”“Street Fighter II,” which is currently available on , can be played on smartphones from within the campaign site during the campaign period. “Street Fighter II” is a timeless masterpiece released by Capcom in the 1990s, and can be said to be the origin of the latest work in the series, “Street Fighter 6,” which has a wide range of strategies thanks to its abundant characters and battle system, and is also the basis for world-class tournaments. You can experience the excitement of playing the game back then on the latest smartphones.
More visuals, music, video content, and more from a group of talented creators who have been fascinated and influenced by the Street Fighter series are scheduled to be released in the future, and as the first step, key visuals and collaboration teaser videos from the creators participating in this project have been released.
The key visual was drawn by Mai Yoneyama, an active animator and illustrator, and the original theme song for this collaborative project will be composed, written, and sung by tofubeats and Umeda Cipher, who have produced numerous game music.
The concept video, which includes elements that recall the excitement and enthusiasm of the time when Street Fighter II was released, and is set to the original theme song by tofubeats and Umeda Cipher, is scheduled to be released on Monday, July 29th. Even though time has passed and we have switched from television screens to smartphones, it seems like we can still enjoy the enthusiasm of that time.

I wasn’t very good at fighting games, but I tried playing them and researching them, and I’ve made connections and learned things outside of the game world, and this time I think I was able to rap by focusing on “what is strength?” in various ways about myself. tofubeats’ track is also great, so I’m grateful to have been given such a great project.
