The Japan Glass Bottle Association will be holding a project called “Let’s Reuse! Returnable Bottle Rap Challenge” from July 23rd (Tue) to August 13th (Tue), in which the number of returnable bottles that are returned at public baths after emptied of their contents will be converted into hours of wastage and a rap song will be created based on that.
The Japan Glass Bottle Association is currently running an initiative called “SO BLUE ACTION” to rediscover and redefine the value of returnable bottles and the system of bottle reuse. In this project, which is part of that initiative, each returned returnable bottle is converted into one second, and bathhouse-loving artists Xiangyu and Coldhot will create a rap song based on that length.
The three participating public baths are Myoho-yu (Seibu Ikebukuro Line: Shiinamachi), Goshiki-yu (Seibu Ikebukuro Line: Shiinamachi), and Sugamo-yu (Toden Arakawa Line: Koshinzuka). When you return a returnable bottled drink sold at each public bath, the rap song will be extended by one second, and you will receive a 10 yen deposit back. This project also contributes to the efficient use of resources and the reduction of CO2 emissions. Why not take this opportunity to reconsider your relationship with bottled drinks?
