“IN-CON EP.1” is a new event linking the music scenes of Japan, Thailand and Taiwan

A new event connecting the music scenes of Japan, Thailand and Taiwan, “IN-CON EP.1” will be held at the Bangkok live house “LIDO CONNECT” on Friday, August 23rd.

This event is co-hosted by the management team of FRIENDSHIP. and LIDO CONNECT, and Emerge Music, the organizer of the popular Taiwanese festival Emerge Fest. The “IN” in the title “IN-CON” stands for “International” and “Independent,” while “CON” stands for “Concert” and “Connect,” and expresses the goal of connecting indie music from Asian countries. LIDO CONNECT aims to create a space that embraces the diversity of music across borders and make indie music a part of the lifestyle.

The lineup this time includes a solo performance by James Alyn, a member of the Thai band HYBS, which sadly disbanded this year, as well as Taiwanese pop unit The Dinosaur’s Skin, who have performed at international events such as MaMA (France), SXSW (America), and Very (Thailand), and Shimon Hoshino, a Japanese artist who is highly acclaimed overseas. Auditions will also be held for the next generation of Thai musicians.
