It has been announced that SSW/pianist Ibuki Takai will release a new EP, “Voice of Venus,” on Wednesday, July 31st.
Last year, Ibuki Takai celebrated her 10th anniversary by releasing the EP “PIANO,” which is composed only of vocals and piano. This third EP is a conceptual ambient pop work of six songs that combines recordings of rich acoustic arrangements such as cello, double bass, and vibraphone with electronic sounds.
The recording members are Sora Sato (Vc.), Keitaro Kanamine (Cb., Br-Gt.), Taikimen (Per., Vib., etc.), recording is by Tamotsu, mixing is by Naoto Oka, and mastering is by ambient artist Chihei Hatakeyama. The artwork is by Kana Tarumi.
In addition, a live performance is scheduled for Tuesday, August 20th at Billboard Live TOKYO with a special lineup that will include recording members Taikimen (Performer), as well as Inoue Mei (Guitar), Chiba Hiroki (Ba), and Takahashi Naoki (Drums) as band members.
