Ovall/Shingo Suzuki’s solo project, LYPS, will hold its first live show

The first live performance of LYPS, the solo project by Ovall bassist Shingo Suzuki, will be held at COTTON CLUB in Marunouchi, Tokyo on Tuesday, October 1st.

“LYPS (Liquid Yellow Portraits)”, which started in May this year, is a new solo project in which artists who resonate with Shingo Suzuki’s music take turns making the sound. So far, two singles have been released: “You don’t know (what life is) feat. Kojoe, Ruri Matsumura” and “Backwards”.

The show will feature a trio performance with Shota Watanabe (Pf.) and Masato Mori (Dr.), who also participated in the recording of the single. We can expect a live performance that will transcend the generations of listeners, including hip-hop, R&B, jazz, classical, and street. Advance tickets will be available online from Sunday, August 4th.
