Shōtaro Aoyama releases new EP “SOCIAL CLUB” featuring xiangyu, NAGAN SERVER and others

Shōtaro Aoyama released his new EP “SOCIAL CLUB” today, Wednesday July 24th.

Shōtaro Aoyama is known for participating in the project “NF” led by Sakanaction’s Ichiro Yamaguchi, and for running his own label “Hyōgu”. In addition to Shota Aratani and Dongurizu, who participated in the previous single, this work also features xiangyu, NAGAN SERVER, Yunoa, and Grace Aimi. In addition, Taihei (Suchmos/Sai) was invited to play keyboards and bass on the track “Nowhere”. The EP expresses a new dance music with a focus on Japanese language, with a crossover sound of hip hop, R&B, rock, jazz, etc.

In addition, a video directed by himself has also been released to coincide with the release.

The title of the EP is Social Club, which is the name of a club I used to go to often when I lived in Paris, but it has already closed.
It was like a community for young creators, where you could meet up with friends without having to make an appointment and experience the latest in European dance music.
I wanted this EP to be a place like that, so I asked my friends to help me create it. The theme of this EP is connecting people through music, regardless of genre.
