All 13 works released by Akiko Yano on MIDI are available for streaming starting today


Akiko Yano’s work released by MIDI was released on various streaming platforms today, Thursday, July 25th.

The 13 works now available for streaming include “Gohan ga Dekitayo” (1980), which was co-produced with Ryuichi Sakamoto; “To Ki Me Ki” (1978), his first self-produced album, which was recorded in New York and brought together famous musicians such as Rick Marotta, David Spinozza, and Will Lee; and “OS OS” (1984), which featured members of YMO and Kenji Ohmura and included the hit single “Ramen Tabetai.”

In recent years, Akiko Yano has been attracting attention from new generation artists, such as Mac DeMarco and Clairo, who have publicly declared themselves fans. Take this opportunity to check out her timeless works from the MIDI era.
