SID's Mao starts a new solo project, 1st album to be released in May + tour decided

It has been announced that SID’s Mao (Vo) will release his first album “habit” under the name Mao on May 29th. Until now, he has been releasing works as Mao from SID, but he will now start a new solo project as “Mao”.

The 1st album “habit”, for which Mao wrote and composed all songs, contained a total of 10 songs with a “rock” theme. There are two release formats: a limited edition and a regular edition. The first production limited edition is a deluxe LP size compilation of a photo book, A2 poster, tote bag, cloth patch, and tin badge set.

In addition to posting an album teaser video using part of the music video for the lead song “ROUTE209” on SID’s official SNS, it has also been decided to hold a preview event and release event where you can listen to all the songs as soon as possible. Mao is scheduled to appear at these events and give talks and mini-lives about the songs.

The nationwide tour, titled , will start at HEAVEN’S ROCK Saitama Shintoshin VJ-3 on June 29th and will run through a total of 14 performances until August 31st at Spotify O-EAST. The first all-standing live tour in Mao’s history will be supported by four strong support musicians: Nishi-ken (Key), Leda (Gt), Shoyo (Ba), and DUTTCH (Dr). Priority ticket reservations for members of Mao’s Room, Mao’s official fan club, are available until 23:00 on April 24th.
