KEIKO Releases the “COOL JAPAN” Vibes in ‘Yuuyami no Uta’ MV

KEIKO Unveils the MV for ‘Yuuyami no Uta,’ the Ending Theme of the TV Anime “Sengoku Youko: Yo-Naoshi Siblings Edition”!

This marks KEIKO’s first anime tie-in since her solo debut. The lyrics, composition, and arrangement of this piece were done by music producer Yuki Kajiura.

The MV perfectly captures a Japanese aesthetic that fits the anime “Sengoku Youko: Yo-Naoshi Siblings Edition.” It’s a “COOL JAPAN” masterpiece featuring KEIKO in a kimono outfit blending Japanese and Western elements, with colors of red and purple reflecting the ‘evening twilight.’ The video impresses with its beautiful yet ephemeral color tones, silhouettes of Japanese dance and sword fighting, and ink art visuals.

Comment from KEIKO

“I was a bit nervous at first as it’s been a while since my last video, but once I wore the arranged kimono costume, inspired by ‘Yuuyami no Uta,’ I naturally straightened up during the shoot.

I expressed the ‘light and shadow’ inspired by the anime ‘Sengoku Youko’ through ‘stillness and motion’ in my singing. Please watch it a lot! Also, the Japanese dance and sword fighting scenes that captivated me during filming are incredibly cool, and I want to watch them over and over!”
