Based in Tokyo, MALIYA is a singer-songwriter making waves. Since her debut album “ego” in February 2018, she has released four EPs, including the dual release of “ruby” and “selene” in August 2020. At 20, she participated in the Berklee College of Music Summer Program, later kickstarting her music career in Tokyo. Rooted in ’90s R&B and soul music, she consistently explores various musical elements like jazz and contemporary future soul in her work. MALIYA has collaborated with renowned artists like WONK and KANDYTOWN members and has invited producers like Kai Takahashi (LUCKY TAPES), MONJOE (DATS), and Mori Zentaro in her projects, constantly pushing the boundaries of Japanese music.
