Born in 1993 in Shizuoka Prefecture, BITEI MATSUKI began self-teaching piano and composition at the age of 20. He delved into the works of Horace Silver among others, and developed a hobby of writing hard bop style music. In 2018, influenced by a friend, he awakened to Japanese music and started creating POPS using DTM, while also commencing his artist activities under the name BITEI MATSUKI. A multi-creator who handles not only songwriting, composing, and arranging, but also the artwork, MATSUKI burst onto the J-POP scene from the jazz world.
