JO1 selected as Monthly Artist for TikTok x Spotify’s “Buzz Tracker”

JO1 has been selected as the Monthly Artist for “Buzz Tracker,” a program run jointly by TikTok and Spotify to support artists.

“Buzz Tracker,” a combination of Buzz (trending) and Track (tracking), will see TikTok Japan and Spotify Japan jointly support one Monthly Artist each month, taking advantage of the characteristics of both platforms. TikTok will explore the appeal of the artist from multiple angles through short videos and song pages, while Spotify will deliver the appeal of the song to users through various playlists, including “Buzz Tracker.”

JO1 is a global boy band formed by 11 members selected from Japan’s biggest audition program, “PRODUCE 101 JAPAN,” which became a social phenomenon. Their song “Love seeker,” released in May, has been gaining attention, charting in the top 50 of Spotify’s Daily Top Songs Japan.

The “Buzz Tracker” playlists on TikTok and Spotify will feature songs such as the popular “Love seeker” and the latest song “Believe in You.” In addition, to coincide with the launch of this project, JO1’s TikTok account will be posting various content that can only be seen on TikTok.
