Details of the “Song of Hope” live broadcast project that will take place on “Music Day 2024,” which will be broadcast for eight hours from 2:00 p.m. on July 13th on TBS, with Nakai Masahiro and Yasuzumi Shinichiro (TBS announcer) as general hosts, and the third round of artists to appear have been announced.
Speaking of “Music Day,” one of the highlights is the live broadcast that connects all over Japan. This time, in line with the theme “hope! The power of music,” a live broadcast project was carried out in which “songs of hope” were sung from the land of hope.
HIPPY will be performing from Iwate, FUNKY MONKEY BΛBY’S from Ishikawa and Noto, Little Glee Monster from Kobe, and WANIMA from Kumamoto, all delivering their passionate voices.
In addition, Bakufu Slump, who have reunited to celebrate their 40th debut anniversary, will sing their hit songs with the backdrop of Budokan, a place of hope that many artists aspire to.
The third wave of artists to appear include AKB48 Group (AKB48, SKE48, NMB48, HKT48, NGT48, STU48), Tamio Okuda, Mai Kuraki, Sakurazaka46, Aya Shimazu, Da-iCE, Tsuyoshi Nagabuchi, Seiko Nizuma, Nogizaka46, Hinatazaka46, and Mrs. GREEN APPLE (in alphabetical order). This will be Tamio Okuda’s first solo appearance on “Ongaku no Hi.”
With the first anniversary of the death of their close friend Shinji Tanimura approaching in October, it has been decided that Takao Horiuchi and Toru Yazawa will perform Alice’s hit songs live, accompanied by footage and singing of Tanimura.
