■OWV Sano Fumiya’s Country Sports Day!
On July 2nd at 8pm, Nippon Television will broadcast a two-hour special episode of “Dancing! Sanma Goten!!” entitled “Kanagawa’s No. 1 Town Battle: Countryside-raised Celebrities Strike Back.”
In the first block, “Kanagawa No. 1 Street Battle,” voice actor Toshiyuki Morikawa appeared, and Sanma was delighted, saying, “It’s Tom Cruise!” When Morikawa was asked to dub for Tom Cruise right away, he was stunned by Sanma’s usual “No, no, no” retort.
Yugo Takachi (SixTONES / the official spelling of “taka” is “hashigodaka”), who made his age private in March, was asked by Sanma, “How old are you now?” to which he brushed off with, “I don’t really know.” When Takachi began to talk about why he made his age private, Sanma was fascinated by Takachi’s thoughts and became very interested. He asked, “What else do you want to keep secret?” and, following Takachi’s advice, Sanma got into the groove and tried to make something private.
The talk topic was “What would you like to say to your rival citizens?” and there was a lively debate on the topic of “How far does Shonan extend?”
When Daisuke Fumita (Go and Shogi) from Chigasaki said, “Kamakura, Enoshima, Chigasaki,” other entertainers reacted strongly. When Shonannoumi from Oiso presented some evidence that “Oiso is Shonan,” everyone was shocked, saying, “There’s such a thing!?”
Then, the two go and shogi players, who had looked down on other areas, saying things like “No one from Shonan goes to places like Zama” and “Fujisawa is excited about being in Shonan”, were hesitant to go to Oiso, calling it “different”. After hearing the reason, Sanma said, “Oiso could be independent from Shonan”, and showed respect for a certain characteristic of Oiso.
In the theme “Let me say this! A little boast about my town”, a skirmish broke out among the Yokohama citizens. Taichi Neken (Go Shogi), who is from Isogo Ward, said that “wards that do not face the sea are a little different even in Yokohama City”, and started teasing Takachi, who has not disclosed his hometown, by mentioning the name of his hometown, causing Takachi to panic. However, he decided to act defiantly and started presenting the characteristics of his hometown himself.
Morikawa confesses that when he was a child, he cheered for the Taiyo Whales at Kawasaki Stadium. He reveals an episode in which he worked hard at something with a sad feeling as a child at the time, which led to his current success as a voice actor.
In the “Counterattack of Celebrities Who Grew Up in the Countryside” block, Yu Hatanaka (Oswald), who appeared for the first time in two years, reported to Sanma, “A lot has happened in the past two years, and I’ve even lost a kidney.” He also revealed that he took action after breaking up with his first girlfriend.
In the first theme of this block, “I’m also a little embarrassed about my hometown,” Oorin confesses that the powder snow unique to her hometown of Hirosaki causes a phenomenon in which “crab legs come out when you’re shoveling snow.” When asked about the first time she saw a cockroach in Tokyo, her unexpected answer caused the whole studio to burst into laughter.
Sano Fumiya (OWV), who grew up in the countryside of Yamanashi, said, “We’re having trouble holding events due to a lack of manpower,” and revealed a shocking event that was once held at a sports day, surprising everyone. Abareru-kun, who is from Fukushima, boasts about a mechanical clock that a famous musician donated to his hometown. He said that the legend behind the clock made his “dream of becoming a comedian come true.” Then, the topic of “What if Sanma were to donate a clock?” caused a big stir. What are the features of Sanma’s unique mechanical clock?
On the topic of “Good things about growing up in the countryside,” Hinako Sakurai, from Okayama, who commuted to school by bicycle for about 40 minutes each way, confessed that “the horsepower in my lower body has become abnormally strong.” When Sakurai revealed the details of her training, even Daiki Sakuraba, who boasts of his muscles, was surprised, saying, “That’s amazing.”
Anna Murashige boasts about her popularity, saying, “When I go back to my parents’ house, the neighborhood is wild.” Other stories unique to the countryside are also featured one after another.
