Snow Man’s Mukai Koji and Miyagawa Daisuke compete in a hot oden battle in “Kanazawa Summer Location 2-Hour Special”

■ “Please watch my one-on-one battle with Miyagawa-san in the ‘Hot Kanazawa Oden Eating Battle’! I’m showing off my idol-like side! Please look forward to it!” (Mukai Koji)

“Kadai-san and Chidori-kun: 2-hour Summer Location Shot in Kanazawa Special” will be broadcast on the Kansai TV/Fuji TV network from 9:00 p.m. on July 2nd.

“Hanadai-san to Chidori-kun” is a variety show where Hakata Hanamaru and Daikichi (Hakata Hanamaru, Hakata Daikichi), Chidori (Daigo, Nobu), and Kamaitachi (Kenji Yamauchi, Ryuichi Hamaie) take on various projects with the theme of “Play with all your might and have fun with all your might!” With studio games with luxurious guests and location shoots where they get excited, Hanadai, Chidori, and Kamaitachi go beyond the boundaries of seniority and the limits of their physical strength to provide laughter with all their might.

On July 2nd, the show will feature a 2-hour special on summer location shooting in Kanazawa, where the six of them will take on various projects with a host of special guests.

First up, guests Miyagawa Daisuke and Snow Man’s Mukai Koji will take on the challenge of the “Get a prize for the amount you eat at Kanazawa Omicho Market Eating Battle.” Set at Kanazawa’s kitchen, Omicho Market, the contestants will be split into “Team Daisuke” consisting of Miyagawa, Hanamaru, Nobu, and Yamauchi, and “Team Mukai” consisting of Mukai, Daikichi, Daigo, and Hamaya, and will eat as much delicious food as they can within the 90-minute time limit, with the prices hidden. The team with the highest total amount spent on the menu items they finish at the end will receive a prize equal to the amount they ate.

Daisuke’s team, who chose a restaurant serving hairy crab and golden crab, was excited by the luxurious shabu-shabu set, saying, “This is amazing!” and “It’s delicious!” However, Yamauchi was irritated by the unbelievable behavior of Hanamaru, who is particular about gourmet food. Furthermore, Yamauchi took the precious crab miso and made an unexpected reckless move, saying, “This is a contest!”, which made Miyagawa get seriously angry.

Meanwhile, Mukai’s team ordered shark fin at a Chinese restaurant. It was so delicious that Mukai screamed, “It’s melt-in-your-mouth! So good!” On the way, the two teams met in a market and a “prize-stealing battle” broke out. Miyagawa and Mukai challenged each other to a “battle to eat all the hot Kanazawa oden,” knowing that if they won they could steal the other team’s prize money, but they were in agony from the boiling hot oden.

After that, both teams continued to eat the local delicacies such as blackthroat seaperch and Noto beef, but in the second half, Nobu’s body started to show signs of something strange… Despite his gout, Hamaya couldn’t stop eating binge-eating, shoveling down a seafood bowl full of sea urchin. Which team will win?

Next, Eiji Akaso and Anri from Borujiku will take part in “Let’s all get the answer right at Yakiniku King!”, a popular Yakiniku chain restaurant that originated in Ishikawa Prefecture. In this project, a “prize timer” is activated when the game starts, and the prize money continues to decrease until it is cleared. If you can stop the timer as quickly as possible by answering the quiz correctly, you can win the remaining prize money at that point.

This time, a quiz about Yakiniku King was asked, and if everyone could answer correctly at the same time, they would pass one question, but if they failed, one representative would have to eat the super spicy kalbi. There were a total of six questions, and when everyone answered correctly, the timer would stop and they would be able to collect the remaining prize money.

Nobu brought up a story from when they co-starred in “Chidori no Kusesugo!” and introduced Akaso as “the Tom Cruise of the Kusesugo world.” Hanamaru, who is familiar with Akaso from his “Asadora Uke” (morning drama reception), was not to be outdone and countered by calling him “the Charlie Sheen of the Asaichi world.” Yamauchi quickly intimidated Akaso, who he met for the first time, saying “You’re my junior, aren’t you?” and also hurled abuse at Anri, with whom he had a big fight on the show before.

In this project, if you get the answer wrong, you can re-answer if someone eats the spicy kalbi. Akaso, who was immediately nominated by Daigo, becomes the victim of the spicy kalbi. Then, as everyone is in a commotion over the unexpected result, Akaso makes a shocking remark that leaves the comedians astonished.

Finally, together with Kuro-chan from Yasuda Dai Circus, he worked with two sports clubs at Seiryo High School, a prestigious sports school that has produced such athletes as Matsui Hideki and Honda Keisuke, to take on a project with a prize of 500,000 yen.

The Karate Club challenges the team in a “70-tile breaking relay.” While Hanamaru and Daikichi are worried about their health and nervous, an unexpected helper comes to the rescue.

Furthermore, they took on the challenge of the “Obstacle Dribble Relay” with the soccer club. There were eight obstacle stages, including a “foot reflexology dribble zone,” and the club members showed off some splendid shooting and juggling skills, but Daigo and Kuro-chan’s antics created a ridiculous atmosphere…

Q: You’ve just finished recording. What were your impressions of the location?
I’m full. I ate three years’ worth of food. No, I ate two days’ worth in 90 minutes! I ate sirloin and red meat, but the meat was tough…!

Q: Was there anything that stood out to you or that you enjoyed?
Everyone was drinking beer normally, and I drank three glasses too (laughs). It was fun! Also, I think it’s because Diane’s Tsuda-san calls me “Koji”, but I was happy that everyone, including Hanadai-san and Daigo-san, called me “Koji”. Also, that oden was too hot! (laughs)

Q: This time you will be appearing in a two-hour special. How does that feel?
I’m very happy! This time I was invited as a promotional offer, but I’d be happy if you would call me anytime. Also, please look forward to the new Monday 10pm drama “Mountain Doctor”!

Q: We’ve just finished recording, but please tell us your impressions of the location shoot.
It felt like it was just a matter of seconds (laughs).

Q: You received a small punishment game, but have you ever received a punishment game before?
That doesn’t happen often. So it was very refreshing! I couldn’t stop sweating in the second half of the show (laughs).

Q: I understand that you have worked with both Kadai and Chidori before. Has your image of them changed after working together on a show that features both of them?
I went with the feeling that I was there as a guest, but both couples were always so welcoming and I had a great time, so I was happy and thought they were so kind.

Q: What did you think of Kamaitachi and Diane?
I had an image of both of them as powerful, but today was the first time I was able to work with them in person and see them up close, and I was overwhelmed by their energy. It really made me think how interesting they are.

Q: During the location shoot, you were called by your first name and teased quite a bit.
I was so happy! It’s not often that comedians make fun of me, is it? Maybe “Akaso” was easy to call me (laughs). I was so happy!

Q: And I also won some prize money, although I can’t say how much.
I thought it would be nice to frame it, but since I’ve come all the way to Kanazawa, I decided to buy some as a souvenir to take home!

Q: Is this your first time in Kanazawa? What are your impressions of Kanazawa?
This is my second time here, and the people are very kind and the seafood is delicious. I’d like to go to the market after this.

Q: This will be your first appearance on Hanadai Chidori and a 2-hour special. Please give a message to your viewers and fans!
I was really happy to be able to participate in the 2-hour special. This location shoot felt like a matter of seconds, so I don’t know how long it will last in terms of the show (laughs), but I would be happy if you could enjoy the show even a little!
