YOASOBI is fully cooperating! Special exhibition "Immersive Museum YOASOBI - How "Umi no Manimani" was created" to be held

It has been decided that the “Immersive Museum” will hold a special exhibition entitled “Immersive Museum YOASOBI – The process of creating “Umi no Manimani” -” where visitors can experience the process of creating YOASOBI’s song from the original novel.

During the museum’s opening hours from 4:30pm to 9pm, with the full cooperation of YOASOBI, who enjoy overwhelming popularity both in Japan and overseas, the “Immersive Museum” will feature two floors of exhibits and immersive videos that will show how the songs were created from the original novels that inspired them.

Based on the theme of the song “Umi no Manimani,” the video invites viewers to further immerse themselves in the song by reliving the production process of how composer Ayase created the lyrics and melody from the original novel “Yurei” by Tsujimura Mizuki, and how vocalist ikura breathes life into the work with her singing.

“Immersive Museum” is a new art experience program based on the keyword “Immersive,” which has become a global trend in theater, art, and entertainment in recent years. By combining special sound effects with immersive images projected on the walls and floor, the world of famous paintings is reproduced in a vast indoor space. In a huge space of about 6m in height and about 700m2 (both height and area refer to the entire spatial area; the projected area differs), the world of the works as seen from the painters’ perspective is reproduced, greatly evolving the art “appreciation” experience.

Participants can wander freely within the space, and go beyond the visual act of “seeing” and “appreciating” to enjoy the ultimate art experience, which makes them feel as if they are immersed in the world of a masterpiece with their entire body through sound and video.
