Matsumoto Ayaka’s age-gap BL manga “Mitsuya Sensei no Teiketeki Feizuke” (Mitsuya Sensei’s Planned Feeding), which was serialized in “Manga Yomonga” (Bunkasha) from 2020 to 2022 and published in book form in January 2024, is being adapted into a live-action drama starring Yamazaki Masayoshi and Sakai Taisei. It will be broadcast on the MBS Dramafill slot (MBS: every Thursday from 25:29, TVK every Thursday from 25:00, etc.) from July 25th.
This is a human gourmet love story about Mitsuya Ayumu, a famous cooking expert in his 50s who exudes adult sex appeal, and Ishida Tomoya, a former baseball player and pure and straightforward magazine editor, who connect with each other through “delicious food” and “careful living.”
Masayoshi Yamazaki, who will be starring in his first terrestrial drama series in 26 years since the drama “Miracle Worker,” will play Mitsuya Ayumu, a famous cooking expert who is in high demand on television and in magazines, while Taisei Sakai, who starred in the TV Asahi series “Osama Sentai King Oger” to be broadcast in 2023, will play Ishida Tomoya, a magazine editor in charge of Mitsuya’s column series. The drama will be directed by Nojiri Katsumi, who also directed the drama “What Did You Eat Yesterday?”, and the script will be written by Yoshikawa Nami, who also worked on the Netflix series “Girlfriend” and the film “Exchange Lies.”
In addition, it was revealed that the lead actor, Masayoshi Yamazaki, wrote a new opening theme song for this film. Details of the theme song and the ending theme song will be announced at a later date.
Ishida Yuya, who was struggling to adapt to the environment of a women’s magazine, suddenly becomes the editor in charge of popular cooking researcher Mitsuya Ayumu as a pinch hitter for his senior. Ishida was so nervous that he fainted on his first visit, but he was completely captivated by the food that Mitsuya served, and was impressed by the way Mitsuya lived a careful daily life, unlike himself.
After meeting Mitsuya, Ishida is able to find fulfillment in his work for the first time, and he becomes increasingly attracted to Mitsuya’s gentle gaze, cheerful personality, and occasional displays of cuteness, rather than seeing him as just a work partner…This is the story.
It seems likely that many viewers will have their hearts and stomachs captured by Ishida’s delicate portrayal of his feelings for Mitsuya and the delicious food that appears in every episode, which will tempt you to eat.

It was winter when I was approached with the question, “Would you like to shoot a drama with Yamazaki Masayoshi?”
And it was spring when I met Taisei Sakai. Filming took place in summer. In the scorching heat, the cast wore winter clothes, cooked piping hot food, and filmed a love story that was about to burst into flames. All the cast and staff were covered in sweat.
But the pictures I took were very refreshing and full of love. I think it will be a great piece.
