Tsuyoshi Nagabuchi, who will celebrate his 45th anniversary since his debut in 2023 and continues to energetically take on new challenges, will appear on the YouTube channel “THE FIRST TAKE” for the first time.

One of their representative songs, “Tonbo”, will be performed in a special one-shot only for “THE FIRST TAKE” 36 years after its release (*Premiered at 10pm on May 3rd).

“Tonbo” is the theme song for the TBS TV drama “Tonbo” (1988), in which he stars. It stayed at number one on the Oricon chart for five consecutive weeks and became a million-seller. It depicts the setbacks and anguish of a person who moved to Tokyo because of his admiration for it, and depicts the dragonfly as a symbol of happiness, something out of reach.

Also pay attention to the unusual performance in which he speaks to the audience for about 6 minutes at the beginning.

■ Tsuyoshi Nagabuchi comment
Taking the first shot was exciting and fun.
I release songs thinking that they are no longer my songs. So once you get into the heart of the person listening to it, it becomes that person’s song. However, I sometimes think that it was originally my song. So today, I sang something along the lines of “Dragonfly, come here, come here!”
