Reol’s new song “RE RESCUE” has been chosen as the opening theme for the TV anime “Ao no Exorcist: Yuki no hate-hen,” scheduled to air in October and based on the popular comic “Ao no Exorcist” by Kazue Kato, which has sold over 25 million copies.
The announcement was made at the Ao no Exorcist Special Event held at Anime Expo, the largest anime convention in the United States, on July 5th local time.
The theme song “RE RESCUE” was written and composed by Reol, with KOTONOHOUSE participating in the arrangement. A snippet of “RE RESCUE” can be heard in the latest teaser PV for the anime released on YouTube.
The TV anime “Ao no Exorcist: Yukinohatehen” will begin airing in October. Detailed broadcast information will be announced at a later date.
Reol will hold her first-ever solo concert at Nippon Budokan, “No title,” on August 17th.
■Reol Comment
I’m Reol, and I’ll be performing the opening theme for “Ao no Exorcist: Yuki no hate-hen.” The song title is “RE RESCUE.”
We may find ourselves yearning for and admiring people who are completely different from ourselves, and at times we may find ourselves clutching overwhelming emotions such as jealousy and envy, only to be confronted with the reality that this is exactly what makes us different from them.
Still, I don’t want to give up on being together, and I hope that someday,
Both the straightforward Rin and the overthinking Yukio are clumsy, which is why they are attracted to each other.
I hope that this song, which was guided by the work “Ao no Exorcist,” will also be a salvation to someone, just like the characters in the story.
