Katori Shingo reveals shocking experience that happened during filming with Mizukawa Asami on "Nanani Underground Abema"

■ “When I went to the foot of Mt. Fuji from midnight to the morning, my co-star Mizukawa Asami and I kept saying, ‘I can summon UFOs!’ and ‘That’s ridiculous!’ Then I was like, ‘What is that?!'” (Katori Shingo)

On July 7th from 8pm, episode 32 of “Nanani Underground Abema,” a program hosted by Inagaki Goro, Kusanagi Tsuyoshi (the official spelling of “nagi” is “nagi” is the character for bow with the characters for front and sword), and Katori Shingo, was broadcast on Abema.

In this broadcast, guests included urban legend YouTuber Naokiman, Milk Tea Drinking, whose videos have been viewed over 100 million times, and Mitsurou Sato, whose books have sold over 300,000 copies.They delivered “Emergency Alert! The Latest Urban Legends of 2024 That Don’t Happen to Anyone” on the theme of various urban legends that we don’t know who started them but can’t say are completely lies.

As they talked about various topics, Naokiman started talking about UFOs, and Katori made the surprising statement, “I’ve seen UFOs.” When Naokiman asked, “Do you think it looks like one?”, Katori answered, “It looks like a UFO,” and revealed that he has seen them in various places, both in Japan and abroad, such as Hawaii, Mount Fuji, and Arizona.

He further asked the staff to agree, saying, “It’s like you can summon a UFO,” and “Yeah, it happened, even the staff here (at Nanani Underground Abema) know,” and began to tell a story from the set of the drama “Journey to the West,” in which he starred.

He then shared a shocking experience that happened during a break in filming, saying, “When I went to the foot of Mount Fuji from midnight to morning, my co-star Mizukawa Asami and I kept saying, ‘I can summon UFOs!’ and she said, ‘That’s ridiculous!’ and then I was like, ‘What is that?!'”

While the Nanani members in the studio asked, “Really?”, Naokiman answered seriously, “It seems that, miraculously, if you really wish for it, it will come.” He then added enthusiastically, “They say it will come if you pray and wish for it. Try it tonight and see for yourself.”

When Inagaki heard that, he asked, “Have you ever seen a UFO, Naokiman?”, to which Naokiman replied, “I’ve never seen one,” and “I really want to see one, so I want it to be taken away as soon as possible.” Kusanagi responded in his usual “typical” style, “That might not be the place for people like that,” and the studio erupted in laughter.

Naokiman also revealed a number of amazing urban legends, including “The shocking reason why the world is aiming for the moon” and “A major disaster that will affect Japan in July 2025,” sending shock waves through the studio.

In episode 33, which aired on July 14th, titled “Urgent Alert! The Latest Urban Legends of 2024 That Aren’t Just Someone Else,” the show delves deeper into a variety of intriguing urban legends, such as “Will something terrible happen to the Earth in 2025?”, “Will AI dramatically increase demand for humans?”, and “Was Tokyo’s underground built to defend the capital?”

In addition, the studio will investigate the truth of urban legends about Inagaki, Kusanagi, and Katori. When asked, “Is it true that you take five pairs of jeans on a two-night trip?” Kusanagi makes the studio excited with his surprising answer.
