Starring: Masaki Suda x Director/Scriptwriter: Kiyoshi Kurosawa, the official poster and six scene photos of the movie "Cloud" have been released

■The release of movie ticket cards with special benefits for the movie “Cloud” has also been announced!

The official poster visual and six scene photos for the film “Cloud,” the first collaboration between lead actor Masaki Suda and director/scriptwriter Kiyoshi Kurosawa, have been released.

This is the latest work by director Kurosawa, who won the Silver Lion (Best Director) at the 77th Venice International Film Festival for “Wife of a Spy” (2020), and is a suspense thriller that depicts the fear that exists alongside everyday life, where “anyone can be a target.”

The main character, Yoshii Ryosuke, who makes money by reselling, is played by Suda Masaki, Yoshii’s mysterious girlfriend Akiko is played by Furukawa Kotone, Sano, a young part-time worker hired by Yoshii, is played by Okudaira Daiken, Miyake, a man who lives in an internet cafe, is played by Okayama Amane, Takimoto, the president of the factory where Yoshii works, is played by Arakawa Yoshiyoshi, and Muraoka, a senior colleague who invites Yoshii into the reselling business, is played by Kubota Masataka.

The newly released poster features a meaningful visual in which Yoshii, the protagonist played by Suda, is shown pointing a gun at “something” with the words “You’re being targeted too,” conveying that he is not the only one being targeted.

Furthermore, the copy “Before you know it, you’re the target, and the ‘hunting game’ by an anonymous group begins” conveys the fear of unknowingly becoming a target, as well as the presence of an ‘invisible enemy.’ This is Suda’s first time trying his hand at gun action, and while he has experience acting as the one being shot, this is his first time acting as the one firing a gun. Attention is also focused on how Suda handles the gun, having received passionate instruction from director Kurosawa Kiyoshi, who has previously shot many gun action movies.

The newly released stills include mysterious scenes featuring the characters surrounding Yoshii, played by Suda, including Yoshii becoming wary as he begins to realise he is being targeted, and a tense scene of Yoshii and his senior, Muraoka, playing a board game.

It has also been decided that Mubichike cards with special bonuses will go on sale from July 12th. The Mubichike cards will have the same design as the overseas poster visuals, and will feature the English copy “WE ARE ALL UNDER A CLOUD (people cannot escape hatred).” The bonus is a “No Resale Clear File” with the logo designed to float above the profile of scalper Yoshii, who is staring intently at something with a tense look on his face, and “NOT FOR RESALE” written instead of “NOT FOR SALE.”
