New visuals for Snow Man's Raul starring movie "Akabane Kotsuko's Bodyguard" have arrived

■’Akabane Kotsuko’s Bodyguard’ will be released on August 2nd!

New visuals have arrived for the movie “Akabane Kotsuko’s Bodyguard” (released August 2nd) starring Raul (Snow Man).

The original work is the comic “Akabane Honeko’s Bodyguard” (Kodansha) by Masamitsu Tanzuki, which is currently being serialized in Weekly Shonen Magazine. The series began serialization in September 2022, and with its innovative and exciting storyline, eight volumes have been published to date in the two years since it was serialized.

The lead role of Ibuki Arakuni is played by Snow Man’s Raul, who will be taking on a solo role for the first time in three years since the movie “Honey Lemon Soda.” Raul, who is active not only as a member of the group but also as a solo artist, participating in Paris Fashion Week and performing on the stage at TGC, plays a delinquent high school boy with blonde hair and a white uniform. He practiced action scenes for about a month before filming and took on the role of a bodyguard.

The director is Junichi Ishikawa, known for his work on April Fools (2015), Mix (2017), and Weird House (2024). This is the first time that the director, who is renowned for his comedies and detailed human dramas, and his impressive staff have teamed up with Raul.

The heroine is Natsuki Deguchi. Other notable cast members include Daiken Okudaira, Hikaru Takahashi (the “taka” is officially spelled with a はしごだか), Kenichi Endo, and Tao Tsuchiya.
