Modern creators remake the music videos of famous songs from the Showa and Heisei eras! A new music show hosted by M!LK's Yoshida Hitoshi and Imai Ryosuke will air on M-On!

■Music videos for Shigeru Matsuzaki’s “Ai no Memory” and Sentimental Bus’ “Sunny Day Sunday” remade

A new music program called “Timeless Song” will air on MUSIC ON! TV from 10pm on July 9th, in which M!LK’s Yoshida Hitoshi and music producer Imai Ryosuke touch on the appeal of “Timeless Song,” a song that has colored the Showa and Heisei eras and has been loved for many years up to the present day.

In this program, three up-and-coming video creators take on the challenge of remaking music videos of famous songs that have defined the Showa and Heisei eras.

The first song is Shigeru Matsuzaki’s “Ai no Memory”. The people taking on the challenge of remaking it are elite creator Kyosae Matsumoto, a graduate of the Film Department of Nihon University College of Art, and Itsuki Kadota, a comedian who also produces videos. Each of them will create a music video with the theme of “unconditional love”.

The second song is “Sunny Day Sunday” by Sentimental Bus. The person taking on the challenge of remaking it is the current high school student creator, Takeru Imai. How will a modern high school student remake such a fast-paced song?

In addition, Shigeru Matsuzaki and Akihiko Suzuki of Sentimental Bus will appear. In the second half of the program, they will introduce the famous Showa era song “Ito” (Miyuki Nakajima), which has been covered by various artists. They will unravel the greatness of this “Timeless song” that can only be understood in the Reiwa era.

After the program airs, the completed MV will be released on YouTube’s MV Swap channel. On the official SNS (@MV Swap), the program “Timeless Song”, the behind-the-scenes of the MV creation, and an interview with Shigeru Matsuzaki will be posted.
