■ “Before and after watching the movie, the impression of the six of us changes 180 degrees. I might be the culprit…!? Maybe.” (Minami Hamabe)

The teaser visual and special trailer for the film “Six Lying College Students,” which will be released on November 22nd, have been released.

The film is based on the novel “Six Lying College Students” (published by Kadokawa Bunko) by Akinari Asakura, which was published in 2021 and has topped various rankings, including being nominated for the 2022 Bookstore Awards, and has sold over 400,000 copies to date. This popular novel is being made into a live-action film with overwhelming quality, combining the “closed room suspense” element, in which the true nature of the six characters is skillfully revealed during a job hunt, and the “youth mystery” element, in which the truth behind the “lies” and “sins” of the six characters are revealed and the plot is resolved one after another at the climax.

Following Minami Hamabe as the main character Iori Shima, Eiji Akaso as Shogo Hatano, and Hayato Sano as Sota Kuga, Mizuki Yamashita as Tsubasa Yashiro, Yuki Kura as Kimihiko Morikubo, and Takumi Nishigaki as Ryo Hakamada were also announced. The “six” are finally all here.

■ What was the big incident that happened to six excellent and good-natured job-hunting students who “thought they would be friends for life”?
The teaser visual that has been released this time features an impressive two-faced look of six people in suit-clad recruits. Their faces are smiling as they sit in their chairs, while their faces are expressionless and it’s hard to tell what they’re thinking. What on earth happened at the final interview? What are the true identities of the six? And what is the meaning behind the shocking copy, “I was killed by lies during that job hunt?” The poster is sure to stir the imagination.

The trailer, which was also released, begins with a truly youthful scene of the six people cultivating friendship in the month leading up to their final interviews. They thought they had made lifelong friends, but on the day of their final interviews, a mysterious accusation reveals the secrets of the six people… A series of shocking revelations that will take your breath away, such as “swindlers,” “criminals,” and “murderers,” will keep you glued to the screen for even a second, wondering “what is true and what is a lie?”

Lead actress Minami Hamabe, who had the opportunity to see the trailer early, commented, “The friendly atmosphere of the six who met while job-hunting, fought together, and became comrades suddenly changes, and one by one their true selves are revealed by a mysterious accusation. It is a shocking 30 seconds in which they become increasingly suspicious of what is true and what is a lie. Before and after watching the movie, your impression of the six of us changes 180 degrees. Maybe I’m the culprit…!? Maybe.”
