■ “Minami-kun” whispers to you!? Experience “Chiyomi” in front of Shibuya 109

A giant visual for the TV Asahi drama “Minami-kun ga Koibito!?” (every Tuesday from 9pm), which begins on July 16th, has appeared at Shibuya 109 in Tokyo.

A super refreshing two-shot of the main character Chiyomi, played by Iinuma Ai, and “Minami-kun”, played by Yagi Yusei (FANTASTICS), appears in the streets of Shibuya.

“Minami-kun ga Koibito !?” is the first Reiwa-era adaptation of Uchida Shungiku’s manga “Minami-kun’s Lover,” which has been adapted into film many times before. In the Reiwa version, Minami-kun is depicted in a “gender-reversed version” where he is 15 centimeters in size and palm-sized.

The giant visual displayed this time has a QR code on it, and when you scan it with your smartphone, Minami-kun’s AR (Augmented Reality) will appear. If you put on earphones, Minami-kun will whisper right next to your ear, allowing you to enjoy the immersive experience as if Minami-kun was right there in your presence. You’ll definitely feel like you’re Chiyomi.

For this project, TV Asahi’s “AR” and “immersive audio” research teams have teamed up to create a combination of webAR and immersive audio, which will be unveiled for the first time.

The giant visual will be on display from 10:00 on July 13th to 20:00 on July 19th. After enjoying the virtual Chiyomi experience, be sure to post it on social media with the hashtag “#15cmLove”.
