Nakai Masahiro and Yasuzumi Shinichiro (TBS announcer) will be the general hosts of “Music Day 2024,” which will be broadcast for eight hours from 2:00 p.m. on July 13th on TBS.
With the performance just around the corner, the program’s website has announced the timetable of artists and the songs they will be performing.
The theme of the 2024 Music Day is “Hope! The Power of Music.” No matter how difficult the times, there are always popular songs, and songs bring hope and energy to people’s hearts. That is why “music is with hope.” Artists will send this message to the disaster-stricken areas and throughout Japan, and with the desire to “make everyone smile with songs,” they will sing “songs that have given hope to Japan” with passion.

A timetable listing the performance times and songs to be sung by the 71 amazing artists appearing on “Music Day” has been released on the program’s website.
In addition, on the day, the official X (formerly Twitter) will be releasing live commentary and backstage shots linked to the broadcast. Be sure to enjoy “Ongaku no Hi 2024” with your smartphone in hand.

[Mass Choir Project]
The “big sing-along” is an annual event held on “Ongaku no Hi.” This year, it has been decided that the song will be “Small Revolution” by SUPER BEAVER. Together with SUPER BEAVER, we will deliver moving singing to the whole country.
[“Song of Hope” broadcast project]
Speaking of “Music Day,” one of the highlights is the live broadcast that connects all over Japan. This time, in line with the theme “hope! The power of music,” a live broadcast project will be carried out in which “songs of hope” will be sung from places of hope. Be sure to check out the spectacular footage and impressive stage performances delivered from seven locations across the country.

The 2024 dance project, which will bring together Japan’s most popular dance and vocal groups, will have the theme “We’ve overcome barriers! Now it’s time for a battle!”
A total of 18 fantastic artists are participating.

The dance project will be produced by the world-famous dance performance group s**t kingz, as in 2023.
◇ Group Dance Battle
In the dance segment, 18 popular groups representing the entertainment industry will perform a dance battle, each with their own choreography to a number of hit songs that have given hope to Japan. And at the end, all 18 groups, a total of more than 100 people, will dance in unison! Expectations are building for what kind of stage it will be.
◇1 on 1 dance battle
Eight top dancers from each group will compete in a freestyle dance battle.
◇s**t kingz selected dance show
S**t Kingz, who is in charge of producing the dance project, created a highly difficult dance for this day. The best dancers from each group were selected to perform a super high-level dance show.
◇The hope of the dance world: Dance Showtime
In addition, two next-generation dance groups who will lead the future of the dance world have also been confirmed to participate. The two groups, THE JET BOY BANGERZ from LDH and BMSG TRAINEE from BMSG, will perform a must-see dance show with choreography by s**t kingz.

The “Hope Band” is a one-night special band formed based on the theme of “Music Day”. The bandmaster and arranger is music producer Teraoka Yuhito. The super gorgeous vocal line-up covers a number of famous songs that represent Japan, and the songs they will sing are as follows:

In addition, there will be a touching collaboration between the gorgeous artists who will be the main vocalists for each song. This super band formed for one night only will sing a number of famous songs, making this a must-see gem of a stage that can only be seen on “Ongaku no Hi.”

The popular annual voice message project on the official “Ongaku no Hi” X account (@TBS_ONGAKUNOHI) will be held again in 2024. This is a special project where if you follow the official “Ongaku no Hi” account and send a message to the artist in a quote RP with the hashtag “#Ongaku no Hi” and the artist’s name, you will receive a voice message from the artist himself, exclusive to “Ongaku no Hi.”
The message submission period will be from 6:00 p.m. on July 12th to 11:59 p.m. on the 13th. Get voice messages from artists that you can only hear here and support “Music Day” on social media as well.

A limited infomercial featuring J SOUL BROTHERS III and GENERATIONS will be broadcast during the broadcast of “Ongaku no Hi 2024”.
