Serial drama W-30 “White Dawn Chronicle” is currently being broadcast and distributed on WOWOW. It has been revealed that Ryo Sekoguchi will be playing the role of Akanemaru, the most insane enemy.
This is the first solo lead role for WEST.’s Tomohiro Kamiyama, who celebrated his 10th anniversary since his debut in April. The original work is “White Dawn Chronicles” by manga artist Masami Yuuki, known for popular works such as “Mobile Police Patlabor.” Kai Yukimura, a member of the immortal tribe played by Kamiyama, and Akari Fushiki, a new employee of the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare’s Night Hygiene Control Division played by Airi Matsui, take on the challenge of solving difficult cases.
In episode 10, which was broadcast and distributed on May 3rd, high school boy Kikyo Nagito appeared dashingly in front of Akari and saved her from a crisis. The beautiful boy played by Ryo Sekoguchi, who left a vivid impression in 2023’s popular dramas “Detective Romance” and “Put an Adventure in Your Pocket,” is actually a bizarre murderer who repeatedly commits crimes in cross-dressing in a sailor suit. It was “Akanemaru”.
Why did he become a serial killer known as the “Sheep Killer” who has been targeting young women for 60 years? What will happen to Akari, who has been targeted and kidnapped as a sacrifice for the next “sheep killer”? And will Kai be able to exact his revenge in front of Akanemaru? The final phase of this exquisite mystery is about to begin, and you can’t take your eyes off the plot as it hints at a fierce battle to the death between the two.

In addition, a special digest video of the final screening, which was held in February and included a lively talk part by WEST., who appeared on stage as a surprise guest, is now available for a limited time on WOWOW’s official YouTube channel.
