The NTV drama “GO HOME: Metropolitan Police Department Unidentified Persons Counseling Room,” starring Koshiba Fuka and with a theme song by Yorushika, will begin airing on July 13th.

The theme song “Forget Please”, which was first performed on the program, was surprise-released at 10pm on July 13th after the program had finished airing.

“GO HOME: Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department Unidentified Persons Consultation Room” is set in the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department’s Unidentified Persons Consultation Room, whose job it is to identify “nameless bodies” and return them to their families. The story is a mystery and human entertainment story in which the eccentric protagonist Mita Sakura (Koshiba Fuka) volunteers to be assigned to the consultation room, and together with Tsukimoto Makoto (Oshima Yuko), who is 10 years older than her and has completely opposite personalities and hobbies, they rush around relying on the few clues left behind in the bodies.

When information about the drama was released, suis commented, “Sometimes behind the most honest words, completely opposite feelings are contained at the same time. I love this contradiction that comes from human love, and I sang this song to express that duality.” Now, n-buna has explained his intentions behind the song, saying, “‘Please Forget Me’ is a song that asks you to forget about me now that I’m gone. I hope it’s a song that fits this drama, which is about searching for someone who is gone.”

Let’s look forward to seeing how Yorushika’s clear singing voice and delicate music will add color to the drama.

■Comment from n-buna (Yorushika)
We are Yorushika, and we will be performing the theme song. When I was racking my brains to write the song “Forget Me”, I was reading Kitahara Hakushu’s collection of poems, “Paulownia Flowers”, and one of the poems had a loquat motif. It goes, “I jump up in surprise when the yellow loquats shine on the loquat tree”. When I saw this song, I imagined a house with a loquat tree in the garden and the two people who live there. At the same time, I imagined the end of that life. “Forget Me” is a song that asks you to forget about me, who is gone. I hope it is a song that suits this drama, which is about searching for someone who is gone.

■Comment from suis (Yorushika)
Behind the most honest words, there are times when completely opposite feelings are simultaneously contained. I like this kind of contradiction that comes from human love, and I sang this song with that duality in mind.
I’m really looking forward to seeing how it will affect the story of the drama when combined with the original.
