“Black Pean Season 2” starring Kazunari Ninomiya is a TBS Sunday Theatre drama (every Sunday from 9pm). In the second episode, Amagi (Ninomiya) next bets on a 13-year-old girl, Yui (Reika Horikoshi).

In addition, Umezawa Tomio and Tachikawa Danshun have been confirmed as guests for the third episode.

■Amagi shows no mercy to a 13-year-old girl! Pay attention to the spectacular and artistic public surgery
The second episode, which will air on July 14th, begins with Amagi coming to Tojo University Hospital. Amagi says that even in Japan, he will not change his stance of only operating on patients who win bets.

Sera (Ryoma Takeuchi), who has become Amagi’s direct subordinate, is treating a patient called Shigeno (Naoya Makoto), who runs a Western-style pastry shop, but is unable to undergo the Snipe operation due to lack of funds. His daughter Asami (Tomu Ranzu) tries to raise funds by selling the recipe and sales rights of apple pie, a very popular product that Shigeno himself developed, but when Shigeno and his granddaughter Yui (Reika Horikoshi) find out about it, they are strongly opposed.

Meanwhile, it turns out that the only way to save Shigeno is to undergo Amagi’s hugely expensive Direct Anastomosis. Amagi makes a bet with 13-year-old Yui to undergo the surgery…

Furthermore, Amagi declares that his debut in the Japanese medical world will be a public surgery in front of a large audience, which draws the ire of doctors from Tojo University, including Takashina (Kotaro Koizumi).

What is the content of the bet that Amagi proposed to Yui? And the spectacular and artistic public surgery scene, which combines classical music and Amagi’s seductiveness, is a must-see. Please look forward to the broadcast of the second episode, which is full of “Black Pean-ness”.

■Umezawa Tomio and Tachikawa Danshun have been confirmed to make guest appearances in episode 3!
Now, ahead of the broadcast of the second episode, the guests for the third episode have been announced. It has been decided that Umezawa Tomio and Tachikawa Danshun will appear.

Umezawa plays Mizuno Yuichi, a man hospitalized at Tojo University suffering from angina pectoris.

He runs a company called Mizuno Steel in Sakuramiya City, where Tojo University is located. Mizuno suffers from angina pectoris and has just had surgery for malignant thymoma. The only way he can survive is through Amagi’s direct anastomosis, and Amagi offers him a bet to get the surgery. This will be Umezawa’s first appearance in a TBS drama in seven years, since “Little Giant” (2017).

Tachikawa Danshun plays Kajitani Takatoshi, whose mother is a welfare recipient who suffers from angina and dementia.

After transferring from the city hospital to Tojo University, Min-jae (Kim Mu-jun) becomes his mother’s doctor, but Takatoshi complains about everything and causes trouble for Min-jae. Furthermore, the only way for his mother to survive is to receive Amagi’s direct anastomosis… Tachikawa is active as a rakugo performer, but he has also appeared in numerous dramas and movies as an actor. This will be his first appearance in a TBS drama in about six years since “Downtown Rocket” (2018).

Who will be able to undergo Amagi’s surgery? Be sure to check out the two actors’ powerful performances.

Umezawa and Tachikawa will make a guest appearance in the third episode, which will air on July 21st at 9pm.

Six years have passed since Tokai left Tojo University. Will Sera, who has begun his career as a surgeon, Saeki, who has become the hospital director and is plotting a new plan, and Amagi, a world-renowned genius surgeon, bring good or bad luck? Each of them has their own desire for medicine.
